Sustainability in manufacturing and engineering is fast becoming an expectation from customers, suppliers and stakeholders. Traditionally, the spotlight has been on larger corporations with 100-1000’s of employees, multiple sites around the world and huge distribution and transport networks, however small and medium size businesses are now being scrutinised.
Soken Engineering are therefore proud to announce that we have achieved EcoVadis accreditation.
What Is EcoVadis?
EcoVadis is one of the world’s most widely recognised sustainability ratings platforms, used by organisations across global supply chains to assess corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability performance.
The assessment evaluates businesses across four key areas:
- Environment
- Labour and Human Rights
- Ethics
- Sustainable Procurement
Companies are assessed against international sustainability standards, with evidence-based scoring used to measure policies, actions, and results.
For Soken Engineering, EcoVadis accreditation has been a critical and important step in securing significant contracts with large, global businesses as well as demonstrating to our existing customers we are continually striving to improve.
What is required to achieve accreditation?
Soken Engineering, together with its parent company Jenton International, have been reviewing and monitoring its policies consistently and regularly, ensuring they always reflect the current environment, employee welfare and business interests. Our ISO9001 accreditation also supports work in this area, ensuring we continue to adhere to our policies and procedures.
